OAK FIRE – EVACUATION ORDERS REDUCED TO FIRE ADVISEMENT

Evacuations for the following areas have been reduced to Fire Advisement. These areas will be open to residents living in the area only:

•       Hwy 49S from Silva Road to Darrah Road
•       Hwy 49S from McNally Rd to Triangle
•       Boyer Road including and all side roads
•       Brooks Road- Residents must use Woodland Drive to access their homes
•       Woodland Drive
•       McNally Road
•       Triangle Road from Hwy 49S to East Westfall Road including all side roads
•       Tip Top Road including all side roads
•       Wass Road- Residents will need to use Tip Top to access their homes

The Alliance is happy to support our community by accepting donations for those impacted by the Oak Fire. Monetary distribution to support individuals/families will be determined by the Unmet Needs Committee made up of many community members including members from Health and Human Services, Mariposa Community Foundation, Rotary, Sierra Tel, Faith based Organizations, and more.

The Oak fire started 7/22/2022 on Carstens Rd in Midpines California.  By the end of the day it was over 4,300 acres, and reached past 12,000 acres by the end of 7/23.  As of 3:15 on 7/24/2022 the fire has reached nearly 15,000 acres with many of our larger communities evacuated.
