The Alliance is happy to support our community by accepting donations for those impacted by the Oak Fire. Monetary distribution to support individuals/families will be determined by the Unmet Needs Committee made up of many community members including members from Health and Human Services, Mariposa Community Foundation, Rotary, Sierra Tel, Faith based Organizations, and more.
The Oak fire started 7/22/2022 on Carstens Rd in Midpines California. By the end of the day it was over 4,300 acres, and reached past 12,000 acres by the end of 7/23. As of 3:15 on 7/24/2022 the fire has reached nearly 15,000 acres with many of our larger communities evacuated.
While we are happy to assist our community, we are also saddened by the impact of the fire and the need for assistance. With your help we can work to get everyone back on their feet again.
